“Hello, Princess.” A watercolor and style exploration.
Played with different brands of student-grade watercolors to have a feel which brand will be more comfortable for me to use on a daily basis. I think Prang won in this round!
How about you, which brand of any art material do you swear by?

A Portrait of Sketch Artist Ryan Gonzales (Inkvspaper) | Watercolor | Process
Ryan also has this illustration that greatly intrigued me (below), and so I borrowed a bit of the concept to the painting (homage?)

I haven’t painted birds nor males before so this pushed me out of my “creative” comfort zones. It’s somewhat my initiation to paint realistic faces using a medium I haven’t learned yet. It’s a bit daunting at first but I think I’m getting a hang of them now :)
So how about you, tried anything new lately? :)

Finally got some free time today, and used it to work on a painting for Ryan.
I haven’t slept yet, and I feel groggy so I’ll finish this after my nap. I also tinkered an old watercolor painting I did last month.
Anyhoo, later! :)

A study for a personal illustration about Igorot culture. And no, the “hills” on her head are rice terraces, not piles of poop. Sorry to disappoint XD

Sometimes, I prefer to draw and make a mess on the floor…I don’t know, I just feel more creative that way XD
Good thing watercolors are easy to clean up afterwards.
