Finally got some free time today, and used it to work on a painting for Ryan.
I haven’t slept yet, and I feel groggy so I’ll finish this after my nap. I also tinkered an old watercolor painting I did last month.
Anyhoo, later! :)
A bit of painting. Still doesn’t have Ryan’s likeness though, I’ll try to fix it after a few more days (hope work gets finished sooner this week!)
The little drawing in the middle, was the first drawing I made for Ryan. Didn’t like it so I made a new one. Covered the face with an eraser because I ruined it.
I have a love/hate relationship with my perfectionist self, you see >.<
I have made so many mistakes in my sketch trade for him though.
I tried my hand with watercolors again, but the work ended up too messy PLUS I couldn’t achieve Ryan’s likeness with it (as you can see in my Twitpic here). It drove me nuts!
What happened was, I failed to make an accurate line sketch before painting. And no amount of slapping watercolor pigments couldn’t fix it. Lesson learned. Bow.
If you follow me on my Twitter (hi!), you have probably seen a cellphone photo version of this too. Crossing fingers and toes this will turn out better!
Progress: I got sick these past few days so I’m not able to finish one of the commissions. This one’s for a foodie couple, and I guess I focused too much on the faces to fix the background. Any ideas?
One of the digital paintings I’m working on. Hopefully I’ll finish this today :)
I feel shy about sharing this with you, because the video quality and editing’s not that good. It’s a vlog of me, doing an experiment. If you find the music annoying, you can just mute it out hehe.

I am thoroughly dependent of using pencil when I draw my first lines; I want my drawings well-planned and structured before I embark on a work, like everybody else.
Today I decided to let go a bit, and doodled whatever my hand wants to draw. My aim is to not really have a perfect work, but to draw according to impulse…it’s just a matter of attacking that blank sheet of paper, for fun and nothing else. Try it :)
Sorry for the vid quality, I used a GE point and shoot in this footage (the only camera I have at the moment). The last parts were choppy because at that point, my camera kept turning off. I have two more doodles that were not taken because of that >.<
If you want to see the doodles, they’re right here :)
